CONTRIBUTED PHOTO DAVE & WAVE: Dave Kirkpatrick of Lockport braved the waves at Olcott Beach in the Lions Polar Bear Swim of Sight in 2001. He was the first one in and the last one out of Lake Ontario. His daughter, Carol, and grandson, Trevor took the plunge in later years.
