James Neiss/staff photographer A group of writers has collaborated to produce a new book, "From the Mouth of the Lower Niagara River: Stories of Four Historic Communities." From left are, Dennis Duling, Jim Smith, Gretchen Duling, Karen Noonan, Linda Fritz, Jim Reynolds and Niagara County Legislator Clyde L. Burmaster, who presented the writers' group a check for $29,000, part of the funds the county earmarked to promote the 1812 bicentennial. Three other authors (not pictured) who contributed to the book are Teresa Sharp Donaldson, Toby Jewett and Michelle Kratts.
