BUSINESS: Niagara USA Chamber looking for community input

The Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce is looking for input from members and non-members in the community.

The chamber is updating its strategic plan and is asking what members, non-members and first-year members of the board of directors think about the organization in three separate focus group meetings. The objectives are to identify the top priorities the chamber should be focusing on as seen through the eyes of the community, said Deanna Alterio Brennen, chamber president.

“We want to know if we are meeting their expectations and if not, what we can do better. It is just as important to hear from non-members as to what their expectations are of their local chamber,” she said.

The focus groups are being facilitated by Jeannine Brown Miller of JBM Consulting. Each group is being asked similar questions in a confidential setting excluding chamber staff.

To date the member and board of directors meetings have been completed. The final focus group of non-members is scheduled for later this month. If people would like to make a comment they can e-mail them to dalteriobrennen@niagarachamber.org.
