A delayed outdoor ice rink in DeVeaux Woods State Park is slated to open today, a State Parks spokesperson said Tuesday.
The lighted facility funded by a partnership between the state parks and the City of Niagara Falls will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting.
Parks Spokesperson Angela Berti said the rink is free and open to the public. In case of closure, she said a sign will be posted outside the rink near the road for notification.
The rink was expected to open last month but was delayed so the park could acquire the necessary ice-making equipment. Ice hockey will not be permitted on the rink.
“Bring your own skates and have fun,” Berti said.
