Free Falls concert series begins this week

USA Band to kick off Friday night on Old Falls Street

NIAGARA FALLS — The city’s free Friday in the Falls outdoor concert series kicks off this week with a performance by USA Band.

Held weekly from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., the Friday concerts feature contemporary and classic rock bands and are held on Old Falls Street downtown. In addition to USA Band, other scheduled performances include:

• July 9: Large Marvin

• July 16: 4.0

• July 23: The “A” List

• July 30: Robots are Thieves

• Aug. 6: Penelope

• Aug. 13: White Chocolate

• Aug. 20: Then and Now

• Aug. 27: This Vehicle

In addition, the city will offer the following jazz performances throughout the summer from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday nights on the steps of the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, 1201 Pine Ave.

• July 11: Custode and Parisi Jazz Trio

• July 18: Lynn Ligammari Quartet

• July 25: Ron Corsaro Quartet

• Aug. 1: Pappy Martin Quartet

• Aug. 8: Ralph Fava Quartet

• Aug. 15: The Barroom Buzzards

• Aug. 22: Second Generation

• Aug. 29: The Pete Ciraolo Band

Both free concert series are offered through a collaboration with the Niagara Fine Arts Program.
