Hospice bouquets to provide hints of spring

Niagara Gazette — Staff and volunteers from the Niagara Hospice Alliance are gearing up for the 2013 Spring Bouquet sale from March 4 through 10 with pre-sale bouquets being ordered now and throughout the month of February.

In 2012, the sale raised more than $15,000 to support hospice care in Niagara County.

Many local businesses, schools, service groups and churches have offered to help by pre-selling or by agreeing to sell bouquets during the sale week at their location.

Bouquets sell for $8 each with an option to donate bouquets to Niagara Hospice patients and Niagara County veterans.

Niagara Hospice Alliance event coordinator Mandy Raff said: “We look forward to the Spring Bouquet sale each year and appreciate all the help we receive from the community. It takes many hands and volunteers to make this a fundraising success that is so needed to help offset costs of providing the special kind of care that Niagara Hospice has become known for.”

Proceeds from the sale help support the mission of Niagara Hospice to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Raff said that more help from the community is needed and encourages anyone who wants to participate to call the events department at 280-0766 or visit www.NiagaraHospice.org for more information.
