NU students present one-night exhibit at Castellani

Niagara Gazette — The Castellani Art Museum will hold its second annual NU Student Culture Expo with exhibitions of student work this November. The event is set for Nov. 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Last year’s event was so successful that the museum welcomed the chance to host another evening for Niagara University students to display and view one another’s work. The NU Student culture Expo is free to all Niagara University students and the community. Organizers hope to attract an audience including those who exhibit as well as those who come to view — and perhaps purchase — the work.

There will be light refreshments offered as well as door prizes available for all those who attend. The event will also include live music and artist talks. The first NU Student culture featured the artwork of 19 Niagara University students, and attract a crowd of over 130 people. Works exhibited included paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, poetry and installation. The NU Culture is coordinated by Niagara University senior Laura J. Brownlie. “As an opportunity for the Niagara University community to become acquainted with the various talented students, this event will also get students involved with the exceptional on campus resource that we are lucky to have; the Castellani Art Museum,” Brownlie said. The Castellani Art Museum was founded by Armand and Eleanor Castellani as a resource for both the students and surrounding community of Niagara University. It is located on the Niagara University campus and is free to all of those who visit it. The Castellani Art Museum is the only collecting museum in Niagara County. The Castellani Art Museum is located at 5795 Lewiston Road, Niagara University. For more information, visit www.castellaniartmuseum.org and by phone at 286-8200.
