• INCIDENT: Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a Washington Street home Saturday for a report of an injured dog. A 47-year-old woman told deputies that sometime Friday her dog became hooked with a fishing lure, attached to a nylon rope. She took the dog to her vet but told deputies she was unsure how the lure could have gotten in her yard and thinks someone did it on purpose.

INCIDENT: Sheriff's deputies were called to a Seaman Road home Friday morning for a report of an infant falling down a flight of stairs. The child's 22-year-old mother told deputies she was with her 8-month-old child about 9 a.m. and went down a flight of stairs to get a cup of coffee. The infant tried to follow her and tumbled to the bottom of the stairs, suffering a contusion to the forehead. When deputies arrived, they said the child was conscious and alert and nothing at the scene appeared suspicious. The infant was taken to Women's and Children’s Hospital by ambulance.
