• THEFT: Police are investigating a theft from a rental property in the 1800 block of Niagara Avenue. A landlord told officers sometime between 5:13 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Monday a tenant, who was being evicted removed 200 feet of copper pipe from the property.
• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 800 block of 20th Street. A 56-year-old man told police sometime between 1 and 4:30 p.m. Monday someone broke into his home by pushing in a window on a side door. The victim said two shotguns, a digital camera and a watch were taken.
• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after police stopped her in a known drug neighborhood with a crack pipe. Nicole Franquie, 39, 421 20th St., was charged with first-degree loitering. Officers said they stopped Franquie in the area of 22nd and Niagara streets at 1:23 p.m. Monday.
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 600 block of Niagara Street. The owner of a deli told officers sometime between 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday someone broke into his business by cutting a hole in the wall. The victim said $600 worth of cigars, $770 worth of cigarettes, $100 worth of lighters, $300 worth of hats, $180 worth of T-shirts, a pair of sneakers, some toilet paper, soda, lottery tickets and a laptop computer were taken.
Newfane
• DWI: Michael E. Szuba, 53, of Lake Road, Burt, was charged over the weekend with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. Troopers responded to a report of a one-vehicle accident on West Creek Road in Newfane. Police said Szuba was southbound on West Creek Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the road, striking a fire hydrant. No injuries were reported. Szuba’s court date is Feb. 2.
