Main Street motel held up

NIAGARA FALLS — An employee at a motel on the 400 block of Fourth Street told police that he was held up by a heavyset man wearing a grey hoodie and stocking over his face early Tuesday morning.

The employee said the man came into the business, went to the counter where the employee was working and told home to, “Put the money in the bag.”

The employee noted that neither he nor the robber actually had a bag. The employee instead pulled $142 from a cash register and threw it on the counter.

The employee said the suspect gathered up the money, pulled out a small silver handgun and pointed it at him and two other men, telling them not to move. He then ran from the business.

Video surveillance of the incident was provided to police.
