BLOTTER: Police reports published March 18

Niagara Falls

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested following a shoplifting incident at 1 p.m. Friday at a store in the 7400 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. Nita Snyder, 37, 800 Niagara Ave., was charged with petit larceny after she allegedly took 10 pieces of jewelry from store shelves and tried to conceal them in her sleeve. The jewelry was reportedly valued at $217.90.

 
• THEFT: Officers are looking into a reported theft which occurred at 5:45 a.m. Saturday at a convenience store in the 1500 block of Pine Avenue. A store employee told police a heavy-set white male wearing a blue winter coat entered the store and stole a 30-pack of beer while the employee was assisting other customers. The employee said the man left the store and fled on foot heading west on Pine Avenue. The beer was valued at $16.99.

 
  Town of Lockport

 
• DWI: Eric M. Fura, 23, 85 Olcott St., Lockport, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, drinking while in a motor vehicle on the highway and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent following a traffic stop. According to the arrest report, Fura told Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies that he attempted to evade them because he had an open beer container. He failed multiple field sobriety tests and was found to have a 0.13 BAC.

 
• DWI/DRUGS: Leah K. Stutz, 17, 99 Trowbridge St., Lockport, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop. Stutz reportedly told the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office that she had smoked marijuana and had multiple drinks after she failed multiple field sobriety tests.
