Niagara Gazette — For Anthony Bogan Sr., one police raid on his LaSalle Avenue home was apparently not enough.
Just days after Falls narcotics detectives busted Bogan for selling pot from his home, they returned and popped him again. And this time, they seized an even larger quantity of marijuana — and a loaded gun.
Investigators said not long after Bogan's initial arrest he was back in business. Street sources told detectives the first bust barely put a dent in the operation.
When narcotics detectives went back to check, they found the traffic of pot buyers in and out of Bogan's home was just as heavy as it had been when they first started watching the home. A flood of neighborhood complaints had originally led investigators to Bogan.
During the latest raid, on Feb. 13, detectives found 27 baggies of marijuana in addition to the loaded gun. That was a significantly greater amount of pot than what investigators found during their first raid.
Bogan, 54, 1545 LaSalle Ave., was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and third and fourth-degree criminal possession of weapon. He faces unlawful possession of marijuana charges from his first arrest.
