Falls youths arrested in rash of thefts

Niagara Regional Police have arrested three teenagers after a rash of car and garage break-ins in the Clare Crescent area in the south end of Niagara Falls.

Police said they went to the neighborhood at 2:50 a.m. Thursday after residents called and said several teens were entering vehicles in the area and stealing various items from them. When patrol officers arrived, they located and arrested three suspects and recovered a small amount of stolen property.

Detectives determined the male suspects were responsible for a rash of thefts from autos and thefts from garages in the area in the past week. The suspects, all under age 18, were charged with various theft related crimes.
