Robbery suspects arrested

Niagara County Sheriff James Voutour announced Friday that a man sought in connection with a Sept. 3 armed robbery of a 7 Eleven store on Plaza Drive has been arrested.

James Williamson, 24, of North Tonawanda, and an unidentified youth were both charged in connection with the incident. Both have been charged with first-degree robbery.

About midnight Sept. 3, a clerk called police to report he’d just been robbed and a handgun had been displayed. During the incident, an undetermined amount of cash, cigarettes and a donation jar were taken.

The Sheriff’s Office, working with the Niagara Falls Police Department, was able to gather information and arrest Williamson and the youth.
