BLOTTER: Police reports published Nov. 29

Niagara Falls

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft in the 1500 block of Ashland Avenue. A 47-year-old man told police that sometime between noon Sunday and 10 a.m. Tuesday, someone stole two aluminum ladders from his front porch. The ladders had been chained to the porch and the chain was cut.

 
• INCIDENT: Police are investigating a report of “shots fired” in the 2400 block of LaSalle Avenue. Two residents of the area told officers they heard what sounded like two gunshots hit their home at 11:48 p.m. Tuesday. A neighbor also reported hearing “two shotgun blasts” at the same time and said he saw a black, Chevy pick-up truck driving down the street. Officers did not find any spent shell casings or any evidence that the home had been hit or damaged by gunfire.
