Man injured in Boulevard hit-and-run

NIAGARA FALLS — Falls Police Traffic Division officers are investigating a hit-and-run crash on Niagara Falls Boulevard that left a man seriously injured Wednesday night.

Investigators said a 58-year-old man was standing in the middle of the street, in the left turning lane, in the 9400 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard when he was struck by a car about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.



The victim was knocked to the pavement and the driver of the car then backed up and drove around him. The man suffered head and internal injuries as well as a broken leg.



He was taken to the Erie County Medical Center for treatment.
