LOCKPORT —

One of three men who admitted their involvement in a South End shooting is in a bit more trouble with the law.

Jacob J. Taggart, 23, 2651 Niagara Ave., Niagara Falls, was charged with possession of contraband while in prison on Monday. According to the report, sheriff’s deputies responded to the Niagara County Jail for a report of an inmate in possession of contraband.

According to the report, Taggart was found with marijuana.

Taggart took his plea deal last month, pleading guilty to a single count of attempted second-degree gang assault. He faces a maximum term of seven years in jail when he is sentenced on March 21.
