BLOTTER: Police reports published March 5

Niagara Falls

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after an accident on the LaSalle Expressway Saturday morning. Tyler J. Rowland, 21, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, unsafe speed, failure to stop for a stop sign and failure to wear a seat belt. New York State Police troopers said was traveling south on 79th Street, in a 2006 Chevy Aveo, at a high rate of speed, when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Frontier Avenue. Rowland’s car then crashed through a fence and went over a support post, launching the vehicle into the air. The airborne car went up a 10-foot high embankment, over a guardrail and landed in the middle of the westbound lanes of the LaSalle Expressway. Rowland was not hurt in the accident and later registered a blood alcohol level of 0.23 percent on a Breathalyzer test.

 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a domestic incident in the 1300 block of Niagara Avenue at 7:19 p.m. Sunday. Thomas Allen Carson, 37, 531 Forth St., was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 5:50 p.m. Sunday. Robert Louis Rodgers, 21, 433 20th St., was charged with petit larceny. Roders is accused of taking a curling iron, a GPS holder and a key chain without paying for those items.

 
• THEFT: Police are investigating a van break-in in the area of Packard Court. A 31-year-old man told officers that sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, someone broke into his 2005 Ford Suburban smashing the rear driver’s side window, The victim said a GPS system was taken and vehicles leather seats and tires were all slashed.
