Woman shot in face Sunday night

Niagara Falls police are investigating a shooting that forced a female resident to seek medical attention for a wound to her face Sunday night.
Niagara Falls Chief of Detectives  William Thompson said the 25-year-old victim from Niagara Falls was driving on Cedar Avenue near 10th Street at around 8 p.m. Sunday when she recognized two men in another vehicle who apparently had been involved in an earlier dispute with her boyfriend.
Thompson said when the woman exited her vehicle in an attempt to confront the men in the other vehicle, one of them fired three shots at her. Thompson said one of the bullets grazed the victim in the face. She was later treated and released from Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are searching for both suspects, according to Thompson.
