• ARREST: A Lockport woman was arrested following a motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of Fourth Street Saturday. Erika Tulley, 19, 5710 Locust St. Ext., Lockport, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and making an unsafe lane change after she reportedly struck a parked vehicle while attempting to parallel park. She told officers she had a couple drinks in Canada earlier in the night and was attempting to visit a nearby bar with her friend at the time of the accident.
• ASSAULT: Police are investigating a reported assault with a weapon at 12:02 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Pierce Avenue. The victim, a 28-year-old man, told police he answered the door of his apartment building where a white man was knocking on the door with what appeared to be a gun. Fearing for his life, he went into his apartment to call police. But before he could, he said about 14 or 15 shots were fired before the suspect ran to a dark-colored Jeep. The victim's girlfriend, who was sitting by the apartment's front window watching television, was reportedly hit by two BBs shot by the gun. The victim identified the suspect but no further information is available.
• ARREST: A Ransomville man was arrested following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Hyde Park Boulevard at 10 p.m. Friday. Timothy Grzeskowiak, 36, 2942 Lower Mountain Road, Ransomville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, using a cell phone while driving and not using his headlights after he was stopped. The officer said he tried to inform the driver his headlights were off while stopped at Hyde Park Boulevard and Pine Avenue, but Grzeskowiak failed to respond. It then took several blocks for him to pull over after police activated emergency lights, according to the report. He reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and recorded a .27 percent blood alcohol content during a breath test.
• BURGLARY: Police were notified Friday morning of a burglary which occurred around 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19. The property manager of an abandoned building in the 2700 block of South Avenue told officers someone stole an estimated $1,000 worth of copper piping from inside the building and the bank which owned it needed a police report. Officers reported investigating the house and seeing where the pipes were missing.
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested following a traffic stop in the 5600 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 11:08 p.m. Thursday. Levester Rose, 34, 3243 Dudley Ave., was charged with tampering with physical evidence, obstruction of justice, aggravated unlicensed vehicle operation, speeding and unlawful possession of marijuana after he was stopped by state troopers. Falls police assisting the trooper reported Rose exited his vehicle, pulled a plastic bag from his pocket which contained a white substance, placed it in his mouth and swallowed it. Afterward, Rose told officers he swallowed marijuana, which was found inside his vehicle and tested.
