BLOTTER: Police reports published Oct. 10

Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 400 block of Cedar Avenue. A 65-year-old man told officers that sometime between 8:30 and 9:40 p.m. Oct. 3 someone broke into his home by removing a window air conditioner. The victim said a TV and an antenna were taken.

• ROBBERY: Officers are looking into a purse snatching in the area of Niagara Falls Boulevard and the I-190. A 55-year-old woman told police that she was walking in the area, at 4:20 p.m. Monday when two teenagers, riding bicycles spotted her and asked if she had a lighter. The victim said when she reached into her purse to get her lighter, one of the suspects pushed her to the ground and grabbed her purse. The suspects then rode away on their bikes.

• ARREST: A Grand Island woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 7400 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 9:25 p.m. Monday. Karen Lynn Coomber, 53, 2189 Bedell Road, Apt. 3, was charged with petit larceny. 

 BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 600 block of 28th Street. A 49-year-old man told officers that sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 9:20 p.m. Monday someone broke into his home by breaking a bathroom window. The victim said an Xbox 360 game system, a WII game system and iPod Touch and a number of video games were taken.
