• ARRESTS: A Falls couple was arrested after they had drugs in their possession during a traffic stop. Christine M. Dickey, 40, 10 C St., was charged with third- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance as well as on an outstanding arrest warrant. Christopher Carter, 19, 10 C St., was charged with third- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, not wearing a seat belt and improper left turn. Officers said they stopped the pair after Carter made the improper turn while not wearing a seat belt. After the stop officers found 1.7 grams of crack cocaine in Dickey’s possession and almost $1,500 in Carter’s possession.
Town of Lockport
• LARCENY: An estimated $20,000 was reportedly stolen from Game Crazy on Transit Road. The complainant told deputies Monday that an internal investigation revealed that a number of larcenies were committed in the past year. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office is continuing an investigation.
Pendleton
• BURGLARY: Police were dispatched to South Transit Road on Saturday for a burglary alarm at Murphy’s Alliance. The business was closed, but deputies reported they found a door that was pried open. Damage was estimated at $50. A report said nothing seemed to be missing from the business.
Gasport
• FIRE: Officers were dispatched to Bradley Road for a report of a vehicle fire Sunday night. The owner of the 2001 Dodge Ram told police he noticed smoke coming from his truck when it was parked. The man reportedly tried to take valuable items out of it before it became engulfed in flames. No injuries were reported. Hartland Fire Rescue responded to extinguish the fire. Damage was estimated at $3,551.
