Niagara Falls
• VANDALISM: Police are investigating an act of vandalism at the Hyde Park Golf Course. A golf course worker told officers sometime between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. Thursday someone carved the initials H and P into a green at the course.
• THEFT: Officers are looking into an SUV break-in in the 2100 block of Ferry Avenue. A 53-year-old woman told police sometime between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday someone broke into her 2004 Chevy Trailblazer by smashing a rear passenger-side window. The victim said $16 in Canadian change was taken.
• THEFT: Police are investigating an SUV break-in in the 400 block of 22nd Street. A 24-year-old woman told officers sometime between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday someone broke into her 2006 Jeep Liberty by smashing a front driver’s-side window. The victim said $3 in change was taken.
• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft from a pickup truck. A 72-year-old man told police sometime between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. Thursday someone entered his 2000 Ford Ranger and took a Sig Sauer handgun, a loaded seven-round ammunition clip and a quantity of .380-caliber ammunition.
Town of Lockport
• ASSAULT: A Niagara Falls and Tonawanda man were arrested on Thursday and arraigned in front of a Lockport Town Justice following an assault of a Lockport man in the Niagara County Jail. Bail was set at $2,500 or $5,000 bond on each suspect. Names were not released.

STATE POLICE: Trio of troopers honored
Senior Investigator Joseph Commisso and Investigator Alan Harshany from the Seneca Niagara Casino and Trooper Joseph Raimondi from the State Police Niagara Barracks in the Town of Niagara were honored for their work with the U.S. Secret Service in helping break up a large scale identity theft ring.
