Employee struck during robbery
A woman staffer was hit during a robbery Tuesday at a Wheatfield employment agency, and the suspect is still at large, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
The strong-arm robbery took place at the Remedy Intelligent Staffing employment agency, 6928 Williams Road, deputies said.
The woman, an employee at the agency, was struck in the head and items were removed from her purse, according to the report.
The suspect is described as a black man, 6 feet tall, 260 pounds, with close-cropped hair and “bad teeth.” If anyone has information regarding the suspect, call the sheriff’s office at 438-3393.

• ASSAULT: Police are investigating an assault in the 1700 block of Pine Avenue. A 17-year-old boy told officers he was in a fast food restaurant applying for a job at 4 p.m. Tuesday when he was attacked by two other male suspects. The victim said the pair repeatedly punched him in the head and body before running from the restaurant.
• ARREST: A Falls teen was arrested for stealing a bike from a 10-year-old boy in the 7600 block of Buffalo Avenue on Tuesday afternoon. Mason M. Smith, 18, 548 74th St., was charged with disorderly conduct. Officers said he refused to return the bike to the victim after being directed to do so by police.
• THEFT: Police are investigating an SUV break-in in the 600 block of Ashland Avenue. A 20-year-old man told officers sometime between 10 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday someone broke into his 1999 Chevy Blazer by smashing the rear driver’s-side window. The victim said a stereo system, a DVD player and speaker boxes were taken.
• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 400 block of 16th Street. A 29-year-old woman told police sometime between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Sunday someone broke into her home by kicking in a side door. The victim said a Nintendo game system and other items were taken.
