Woman sexually assaulted on pathway in Welland
Niagara police are warning people to use caution when using recreational pathways after a woman was sexually assaulted along a path in Welland.
Niagara Regional Police said the woman was walking on the canal recreational path near Forks Road on June 4 when a man rode by on a bicycle and touched her in an inappropriate manner.
The man later returned and touched the woman again.
When he circled back a third time, police said, the man exposed himself.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 18 years old, with dark brush cut hair.

CITY OF LOCKPORT
Woman charged with lying to police
A city woman has been accused of lying to police about an incident involving her young daughter.
Janeen M. Tagg, 30, 205 Ontario St., was charged Tuesday with third-degree falsely reporting an incident.
Tagg called police June 2 to report a domestic argument at her home and told Lockport Police Officer Luke Giansante another person had pulled a knife and threatened her 9-year-old daughter.
Giansante took a written statement from Tagg and initiated an investigation based on that information, the report said.
Tagg came to the LPD Monday and asked the investigation be dropped because she had lied about the incident.
