No charges in shooting at Santa's

There were no charges lodged concerning a gun that was accidentally fired at the Santa Claus Christmas Cottage on Dec. 22, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department reported Wednesday.

According to the report, a 30-year-old Middleport man accidentally discharged a gun inside of Santa’s workshop shortly afternoon that Saturday, damaging the cottage. The cottage, which is located at the corner of East High Street and Day Road in the Town of Lockport, was evacuated when the gun went off.
