Armed robbery at Main Street business

NIAGARA FALLS — Two men robbed the Bridgeway Mart at gunpoint Thursday night.

An employee of the Main Street business said he was working about 8:15 p.m. Thursday when two men entered the store — one of whom was wearing a winter mask over his face.

The unmasked man approached the counter approached the counter and asked if the employee could make change for him. When the employee opened the register, the second, masked suspect approached the counter, pulled out a black handgun, pointed it at the employee and demanded money.

The employee handed over an unknown amount of cash and the two men fled the business.

Arriving officers were able to view security footage of the incident and a magazine belonging to a BB or pellet gun was found on the sidewalk in front of the business.
