• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested on a drug-related charge. William C. Blanco, 21, 2613 Ferry Ave., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Police said they saw Blanco engage in what appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction in the 400 block of 19th Street at 4:15 p.m. Thursday. After stopping Blanco, officers discovered he had two small baggies, containing marijuana, in his possession.
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested on drug and loitering charges. John Alan Tice, 43, 1921 Falls St., upper, was charged with first-degree loitering and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said they saw Tice acting suspiciously in the 400 block of 10th Street at 5:40 p.m. Thursday. When they stopped Tice, officers found he had two outstanding arrest warrants and a small amount of crack cocaine in his possession.
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1800 block of Ontario Avenue. A 31-year-old woman told officers sometime between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday, someone broke into her home by breaking a kitchen window. The victim said two Nintendo game systems, a quantity of jewelry, a digital camera and $500 was taken.
• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 2200 block of Linwood Avenue. A 39-year-old woman told police she came home at 1:44 p.m. Thursday and found someone had broken into her home. The woman said a 47-inch TV and a Nintendo game system were taken.
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1300 block of North Avenue. A 76-year-old property owner told officers sometime between noon Tuesday and noon Thursday, someone broke into his property by kicking in the front door. The victim said $1,200 worth of copper was taken from the property.
• THEFT: Officers are looking into a car break-in the 2400 block of Grand Avenue. A 24-year-old man told police sometime between 3 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Thursday, someone broke into his 2000 Chevy Malibu by smashing a rear driver’s side window. The victim said a stereo system was taken.
