MULTIMEDIA: The NACC Stitched

CLICK FOR A MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION

The Niagara Arts Cultural Center in Niagara Falls, NY, housed in the former Niagara Falls High School, is a patchwork of artistic people gathered together in a community of studios, offices and classrooms that combined, make something more beautiful than it's individual parts.

Greater Niagara Newspapers Chief Photographer James Neiss, an accomplished panoramic virtual tour photographer, stitched 12 exposures to create each of these portraits that splay open the 4 walled rooms for a unique portrait. Software is then used to warp the images into an interactive environment that you can explore and listen to audio commentary from the subjects.

(FIRST PLACE WINNER: The New York State Associated Press Association awards "Stitched" 1st place in the online content category of the 2006-07 AP writing contest. 8/3/2007)

Do you think local and county officials will have a Niagara Falls to Lewiston tourist trolley up and running for the summer?

Yes. It’s too good of an idea to pass up, they’ll find a way.
No. They haven’t even figured out how to pay for it yet, there’s not enough time before summer starts.
Ready with my token. It’s kind of a longshot but I have hope.
