HARTLAND —
An elderly man was killed Thursday night after the tree he was cutting down fell on top of him.
The 88-year-old man was behind 7685 Wheeler Road cutting down trees about 6 p.m. when one of the trees fell on him.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, says Niagara County Sheriff James Voutour. His name has not yet been released.
The accident is being investigated.
