TOPS: T.O. cereal sales hit 33,000 boxes

Staff Reports

Terrell Owens has a big score in the cereal aisle.

Tops Markets said Monday that sales of T.O.’s — the honey-nut, toasted-oats cereal named for the Buffalo Bills wide receiver — have surpassed 33,000 boxes.

T.O.’s, which are available in-store only at any of Tops’ 76 locations, went on sale in late July. Tops is the sponsor of the Bills’ 50th anniversary season.

Tops said it expects sales to remain strong with the start of the season.

In addition, Tops also announced this week that 50 cases of T.O.’s would be donated to the Food Bank of Western New York. The cereal is a joint partnership between Tops, Owens and PLB Sports.

Owens signed a one-year contract with the Bills this season.
