Inmate from county jail dies Saturday

LOCKPORT —

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office announced Saturday that an inmate died after he went into cardiac arrest Saturday morning.

Tommi Lee Jones, no age or hometown given, went into cardiac arrest just before noon, according to the sheriff's office.

Paramedics from the Wrights Corners Volunteer Fire District responded and treated Jones before he was taken by a Wrights Corners ambulance to Eastern Niagara Hospital for further medical treatment.

Jones was pronounced dead at the hospital at 12:50 p.m.

No other information was available at press time.
