A new poll says New York Gov. David Paterson’s overall favorability rating has increased slightly in the past month, up from 27 percent in October to 33 percent now.
The Siena College poll also found his job performance was rated fair or better by 61 percent of likely voters, almost unchanged from last month.
It’s the first poll since Paterson’s 2010 campaign committee launched a $500,000-a-week TV advertising buy.
Asked about a potential primary between Paterson and Democratic Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, 75 percent of enrolled Democratic voters say they would support Cuomo, with 16 percent for Paterson.
