The driver of a pickup truck was injured slightly when a deer smashed through the windshield of a pickup truck just before 3 p.m. Monday.
Andrew Filipovich, 65, was hurt when the deer’s antlers struck him in the face and hand. Filipovich was taken by Tri-Town Ambulance to Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport for treatment of minor injuries.
Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 911 call at 2:57 p.m. Deputies said the driver was northbound on Keck Road when the deer jump into the roadway and struck the passenger-side of the truck.
