• BURGLARIES: Police are investigating burglaries at a pair of homes in the 400 block of Seventh Street. Officers said they discovered at 3:30 p.m. Thursday that National Grid electric meters had been removed from both homes, disabling security systems on the houses. Both homes had been broken into. A vacant home did not appear to have anything taken from it. An occupied home had been completely ransacked. The homeowner was preparing a list of missing items for investigators.

• ROBBERY: Officers are looking for a suspect in a robbery in the 1300 block alley between Pierce and Whitney avenues at 3:30 p.m. Friday. A 15-year-old boy told police he was walking in the alley when another teen punched him in the face and took his wallet.

• ARREST: A convicted sex offender from Connecticut was arrested in the Falls on Friday. Police said they spotted Carl A. Lemeke Jr., 29, 1 Parkway Road, Danbury, behaving suspiciously in the 8700 block of Lindbergh Avenue at 11:40 a.m. and discovered he was wanted in a parole violation. He was taken into custody without trouble.

• THEFT: Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1800 block of Pine Avenue. A store manager told officers that a man took over $100 worth of air fresheners around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested Friday for allowing two toddlers to play outside without anyone watching them. Joseph M. Felvus, 19, 1333 Niagara Ave., was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Police said they found a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old in the driveway of Felvus’ home, at 1:30 p.m. Friday, in 34 degree weather, playing with a garden hose and wearing just t-shirts and diapers. Officers said they found Felvus inside the home asleep and apparently under the influence of drugs.

• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 1700 block of Cudaback Avenue. A 33-year-old man told police sometime between noon Wednesday and 8 p.m. Thursday, someone broke into his home through a rear window. The victim said a PlayStation2 game system, some video games, a DVD player, some DVDs and some prescription medication was taken.
