Ashcroft told police that he had been pulled from his friend’s Cadillac DeVille at 5 p.m. Tuesday, as he was sitting in the vehicle in front of his home, by three juvenile suspects. He said the suspects punched him in the head and took the car. The vehicle was spotted a short time later at Highland and Centre avenues and when police attempted to stop it, three juveniles jumped from the moving car and ran, while the Cadillac hit a parked van. Moments later, Roving Anti-Crime Unit officers apprehended two of the three juveniles.
