City man charged with stabbing uncle
A city man was arrested Friday on charges he stabbed his uncle in the face during an argument.
Isaac Jenkins, 36, 15 Oliver St., was charged Friday morning with second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Officers responded to a Church Street home for a report of a man with a knife and found a resident bleeding from his face, with cuts to his upper lip and chest.
The man told police his nephew, Jenkins, had stabbed him and was still in the house.
The man said the two had argued because Jenkins came downstairs naked. Jenkins went into the kitchen and returned with two knifes.
The man said he’d tried to fight Jenkins off with a frying pan, but Jenkins stabbed him twice.
Officers found Jenkins inside the house and took him into custody.
Officers found four knives in the bedroom and one knife in the kitchen sink.
Jenkins also had a small bag of suspected marijuana in his pocket, the report said.
