A fireworks display kicked off this year’s Holiday Lights of Niagara at Hyde Park, hosted by the United Way of Niagara. The event features over 50 lighted displays, of which more than 80 percent of the bulbs for this year’s display were changed to LED lights by a team of volunteers. Changing the lights to LED’s will make the City a little more greener by saving on energy costs, said Mayor Paul Dyster at the opening ceremonies.

The Holiday Lights of Niagara runs through New Years Eve and can be seen by car, or on foot, from 5pm-10pm at Hyde Park and is FREE to the public.
