“It’s an unbiased witness to everything,” said Traffic Division Capt. Salvatore Pino, who is responsible for the department’s in-car camera program. “It doesn’t have an opinion. It just shows us what happened. That was the selling point.”
Since January, the department has rolled out its in-car camera program. Currently 15 marked patrol cars are equipped with the dashboard-mounted cameras.
