Margaritas and Cheeseburgers in Paradise will soon be common sights across the border.
Officials announced Wednesday a Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant will be opening this spring at the site of the former Wolfgang Puck at Fallsview Boulevard and Murrary Street in Niagara Falls, Ont. The popular destination will be open year-round and will feature live music, fresh food and drinks for all.
“We’re very excited to be opening our first Canadian location amidst the beauty and legend of Niagara Falls,” said George Davidson, president and CEO of Margaritaville Canada. “The escapist vacation that a Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant provides is the perfect setting for the millions of visitors that flock to Niagara Falls every year, as well as for local residents looking for a reprieve from the frigid Canadian winter.”
Inspired by the travels and songs of Jimmy Buffett, Margaritaville is the tropical-themed stage for a trip not soon forgotten. With the beat of island party music, a colorful, laid-back atmosphere, the location will offer a variety of food, including regionally inspired specialties, along with signature “Volcano Nachos” and the famous “Cheeseburger in Paradise.”
The family friendly restaurant boasts an impressive 14,000 square feet on two indoor levels with breathtaking panoramic views of the falls from three of its four outdoor patios. Featuring live entertainment from across the country and a direct feed from Radio Margaritaville on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio, Margaritaville will carry tunes for all ages. Along with its signature margaritas, unique boat drinks, frozen concoctions and ice cold beer, warm summer nights will always be in season at Margaritaville.
The first Margaritaville Restaurant opened in Key West in 1985. Current locations include eight mainland U.S. locations and other tourism destinations such as Jamaica, Mexico and Hawaii.
