Kids 'n' Kites at Veterans Park

Niagara Gazette — The 15th annual Kidz ‘n’ Kites will fill the skies over Niagara with color Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Park, 7000, Lockport Road.

Registration is 11 a.m. Fly time is noon to 2 p.m. 

There is a free kite and T-shirt for the first 1,000 children to enter.There will also be prizes, entertainment, food and beverages, kit flying demos, animal and wildlife rescue groups, car seat safety checks, the Niagara Falls Fire Department fire safety house and music by DJ the DJ. 

The motto for the day is “Come Fly with us in celebration of our youth.”

The event is sponsored by the Niagara County Department of Social Services, the Niagara County Youth Bureau, the Niagara County Sheriff’s DARE program, Niagara PAL and the Town of Niagara, along with a variety of area organizations, politicians and businesses.
