Blues Christmas party Friday benefits Niagara Falls Blues Festival

Niagara Gazette — A deluxe Southern barbecue and live blues will highlight the first ever Blues Christmas Friday at The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls, 101 Old Falls St., Niagara Falls.

The event, being held from 6:30 to 11 p.m. will feature music by The Electras and Big Tobacco and will be held in the Cataract Room overlooking Old Falls Street’s thousands of holiday lights.

“Blues Christmas was created as a fund-raiser for the 6th Annual Niagara Falls Blues Festival, being held in September 2013 on Old Falls Street,” said Ryan Coate, general manager of Old Falls Street, USA, and The Conference and Event Center Niagara Falls.

“The Blues Festival is traditionally one of the largest special events held on Old Falls Street, so we were pleased to team up with its organizers once again during the holiday season in order to help raise funds to keep the event sustainable for years to come,” he said.

The evening will also feature area vendors including Gospel Goodies, Rosanna’s Jewelry & Accessories and Niagara Honeymoon Sweets, for those wanting to do some holiday shopping.

Advance sale tickets for the buffet dinner within a reserved seating section are available at the Conference and Event Center Niagara Falls for $25. Tickets will be $30 at the door that evening. A cash bar will be available. For those only wanting to come to see Big Tobacco, $10 general admission tickets will be available after 9 p.m. at the door. General admission tickets do not include the buffet.
