Winter tree ID hike
Beaver Meadow Audubon Center, located at 1610 Welch Road, North Java, is hosting a winter tree ID hike at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Join John Sly, forestry expert and longtime Buffalo Audubon Society leader, as he demonstrates how to identify trees and bushes by examining bark, shape, branching and location, without relying on leaf shape. The hike will start at the Audubon Center with a display of tree twigs, followed by an outdoor hike and end back at the center for hot chocolate. Donations accepted.
