LEWISTON — Several Wilson High School choral students have an “Urgent” assignment this Tuesday — singing backup vocals for the rock band Foreigner when they take the stage at Artpark.

The endeavor is part of VH1’s Save the Music program.

The opportunity was presented to Wilson’s choral director, Claudia Andres, who accepted the gig. On Tuesday, Wilson students will be singing backup vocals to Foreigner’s hit song “I Want to Know What Love is.”

In addition, Wilson’s music department will receive $1,000.

During their long and successful career, Foreigner has had such huge hit singles as “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Jukebox Hero” and “Say You Will.”
