Genevieve A. Koperski

NIAGARA FALLS — Genevieve A. (Gregorski) Koperski, 99, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away in her 100th year on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, surrounded by her family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on May 3, 1913, she was the daughter of the late John and Katarzyna (Dabrowski) Gregorski.

Genevieve worked at Jenss as a sales clerk and also at Kimberly Clark. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, AARP and Echota. She enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, going to concerts with friends, crocheting and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Maryann) Koperski of Niagara Falls, NY; grandchildren, Marie (Alan) Hinkley, Michele (Chris) Carosella; great-grandchildren, Lisa, Jimmy, Stefany,  Katelyn and Matthew; great-great grandchildren, Amber Genevieve and Stephen; her nephews, Donald House and Raymond Nowak; also several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Koperski; son, Frederick Koperski; brothers, Henry Gregorski, Walter Gregorski Gregg; and her sister, Irene House.

Friends may call Monday, October 8, 2012 from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319-24th St., cor. Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 24th & Niagara Sts., with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. Burial following in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Donations in her memory may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
