Charles J. Eames

YOUNGSTOWN — Charles J. Eames, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at his residence.

He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on March 27, 1929, the son of the late Walter M. and Kathleen (Hogan) Eames.

Mr. Eames served with the US Army, during the Korean War. He was employed with Moore Business Forms for over 25 years, before moving to Kansas, where he became the owner and operated the Shawnee Copy Center in Kansas City, KS, for 10 years, retiring in 1990. Mr. Eames moved back to Youngstown in 1999.

He was a member of the St. Vincent dePaul Society and volunteered delivering meals over the holiday. Mr. Eames was an avid reader and sports fan.

He is survived by one son, David G. Eames of Kingwood, TX; a sister, Kathleen (late David)  McMurray of Youngstown, NY; a sister-in-law, Patricia Eames; his former wife, Shirley Eames and by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Eames was the brother of the late M. Lois Eames and Edward F. Eames.

The family will be present on Sunday from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 AM, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Hinman and 2nd Streets, Youngstown, NY, with Msgr. J. Thomas  Moran officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to the St. Vincent dePaul Society. Inurnment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
