Marylyn E. "Mrs. B." Biro

TOWN OF NIAGARA — Marylyn E. "Mrs. B." (nee Stone) Biro, 69, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on June 20, 1943 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Richards) Stone.

Mrs. Biro moved to Scranton, PA at the age of three where she was raised and attended schools until junior high school. Marylyn later came to Niagara Falls, NY and graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School in 1961. On May 15, 1965, she married William K. "Bill" Biro. Mrs. Biro was employed by the New York Telephone Company and Loblaws. Later, Marylyn worked as a Home Health Care Aide. She served as a volunteer for Heart & Soul. Mrs. Biro was a member of the former Ladies Auxiliary of the Niagara Active Hose Volunteer Fire Company, the Lioness Club, in the Town of Niagara, NY, where she served as Past-President and Cursillo. Marylyn was an avid bingo player and enjoyed reading, going to the casino and watching Wheel-of-Fortune and The Price is Right. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her beloved husband of 47 years, Mrs. Biro is survived by six children, Todd A. Biro of the Town of Niagara, NY, Brett W. Biro of the Town of Niagara, NY, Budd A. (Vicki) Biro of Milford, DE, Joshua A. Biro of the Town of Niagara, NY, David J. Bobbitt of Wheatfield, NY, and John W. Bobbitt of the Town of Niagara, NY; and many grandchildren. Marylyn is also survived by two step-children, Steven Biro of Niagara Falls, NY and April Dawn (Russell) Carere of North Tonawanda, NY; one sister, Linda (John) Parfinski of the Town of Niagara, NY; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Marie Biro of Wilmington, DE and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, William T. Stone.

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, February 8th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where a funeral service will follow visitation at 8:00 PM, with Deacon Patrick Bradley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
