LtCol William Ditzen, Jr., USAF, (Ret)

NIAGARA FALLS —  

Colonel William Ditzen, Jr., USAF, (Ret), 73, passed away peacefully at his Niagara Falls residence on Monday, February 11, 2013 while under the care of his loving wife and Niagara Hospice.
Bill, as he was known to family and friends, was born in New York City and attended local schools. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Administration from Pace University in 1962. Bill served actively in the United States Air Force from January 1963 until July 31, 1974, and continued his service until 1994, when he retired as a Logistics Plans Officer at the Niagara Air Reserve Station in Niagara Falls, NY.
Colonel Ditzen is survived by his wife, Dorothee Ditzen, of Niagara Falls, NY; a step-son, Joachim (Angela) Kramp of Germany; and two grandchildren, Konstantin and Meret.  He is also survived by loving family and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 16th from 4 -5 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services with Military Honors will be held at 5:00 PM with Bob Fink officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to  Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
