John S. Paczynski

SANBORN — John S. Paczynski, 85, of Sanborn, NY, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 22, 2012.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late John M. and Bernice (Cieplinski) Paczynski.

John attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Fall High School. He served in the United States Army during the end World War II and again during the Korean War, until his honorable discharge in 1952. John worked at the former International Paper Mill and Lammerts Cadillac and Buick in Niagara Falls, NY. He later moved to Santa Monica, CA where he began a 20-year career with the United States Postal Service as a              distribution clerk. Following his retirement, John moved back to the area where he had resided until the present time. In his leisure time, John enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas and going to the casino.  

Mr. Paczynski is survived by one sister, Dorothy M. (Gerald) Messer of Wheatfield, NY; two nieces, Diane Messer and Judith Messer; one nephew, David (Denise) Messer; four great-nieces; one great-great-nephew and several cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother, Edward J. Paczynski.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 26th, at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. Interment will be held in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Flowers graciously declined. Arrangements by M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
