Mary A. Cipolla

RANSOMVILLE —

Mary A. Cipolla, age 91 of Ransomville, died on Sunday, December 9, 2012 in the Newfane Rehabilitation & Health Care Center after a brief illness. Mary was born on June 20, 1921 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Passmonti) Nicosia and was a 1938 graduate of Trott Vocational High School. On June 23, 1945, she married Antonio F. "Tony" Cipolla and they moved to Ransomville in 1949. Tony predeceased her on February 25, 1998.
Mary was a communicant of St. Brendan on the Lake R.C. Church in Wilson. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Frank Cipolla of Ransomville, Vernetta (Gordon) Kenyon of Barker, Rose (Douglas) Edwards of Ransomville, and Anthony (Merryjo) Cipolla of Lewiston; her grandchildren, Kyle and Christopher Kenyon, and Alicia (Joel) Forsyth, Brittani, Douglas, and Alexandria Edwards, and Maren Elizabeth Cipolla; her great-grandchildren, Abigayle and Quinn; two sisters, Anna Sheusi of Lewiston and Frances Gabrielli of Niagara Falls, Ontario; a brother, Arthur Nicosia of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Josephine Dimino and Rose Gullo.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 13th at 11:00 AM in St. Brendan on the Lake RC Church, 345 Lake Rd., Wilson, with the Rev. Jozef Dudzik officiating. (Please assemble at Church). Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson. Memorials may be made to St. Brendan on the Lake RC Church.
